Abstract
This study dealth with fairy tales and the type of language used. It attempted to explore the use of politically correct terms and the elimination of biases in Garner's version of the popular fairy tales. This paper also explored the aspects of language use in Garner's fairy tales, specifically on the speech acts and the ethnography of communication. The researcher used several techniques and methods of research for the analysis of the study. The descriptive-comparative approach was used in order to analyze the differences between the popular versions of the fairy tales and those of Garner's. The linguistic-stylistics approach was also employed as the researcher got into the etymologies, recurrence of words, and word patterns to get at the spirit not only of the work but also of the times in which it was written, and even at the "psychogram" of the individual artist.
