Specifically, the research dealt with how the woman is depicted in the selected passages of the Bible. Through these depictions, the expectations of woman through values and behavior were probed. In addition, woman assertion was studied through the selected biblical characters. The focus was on how the woman character resisted patriarchal conventions and avoided her marginalization. In light of the findings of the study, the following are the conclusions: 1. Depiction of Woman a. Woman is portrayed in a positive light consistent with principles of feminism. 2. Expectation of Woman a. Woman is expected to be nothing less than man's co-equal. b. Woman is to behave in a manner that is consistent with the affirmation of her genuine self-worth. 3. Assertion of Woman a. The biblical women asserted their womanhood. b. The woman in the Bible resisted patriarchal oppression. In relation to the findings and conclusions of the study, the researcher recommends the following: 1. An analysis of other biblical passages and characters could be undertaken in light of a feminist perspective with the inclusion of deconstruction as an approach to literary analysis. 2. Further feminist studies on the Bible that focuses on the masculine and feminine images of God. In addition, studies could be undertaken to determine whether Jesus of Nazareth espoused feminist views. 3. Studies can be undertaken on other religious scriptures using the feminist perspective. Researches can be undertaken on the Koran in light of its depiction of woman and its woman characters. 4. A comparative research could be done with the Bible and other religious texts as regards their views on women and gender. 5. A review on religious doctrine, dogma, and literature to find out if feminist views are reflected on them as these are based on the Bible. 6. Dissemination of information to the church and society as whole on the existence of feminist views in the bible to help put a stop to the abuse and secondary treatment of women in some of these circles. 7. Further studies on literary pieces using the feminist perspective (with deconstruction as a major approach) could be undertaken especially by men researchers.
